Le Sirenuse

Legendary Amalfi Romance

The iconic Positano hotel that defines Amalfi Coast glamour—bold red shutters, terraced elegancia, and Mediterranean views that have inspired romantics for generations.

When you imagine Positano, chica, you're imagining Le Sirenuse. That signature red—those bold, hermoso shutters against pristine white walls—has become absolutely synonymous with Italian coastal lujo. The Sersale familia opened their beloved summer home to guests in 1951, and it's been the beating corazón of Amalfi romance ever since. This isn't just a hotel; it's a love letter to la dolce vita, a place where every detail speaks of pasión, belleza, and the Italian art of living well. Generations of romantics, artists, and dreamers have found their way here, and once you arrive, you'll understand exactly why.

Every single detail is curated with that obsessive Italian elegancia that makes todo feel both effortless and extraordinary. Antique majolica tiles gleam underfoot, hand-painted ceramics line the walls, and museum-quality art appears around every corridor corner. The Sersale family's personal collection transforms the hotel into a living gallery. The rooms face the impossibly blue Tyrrhenian Sea with private terraces where you'll watch colorful fishing boats glide across el agua and ferries trace paths to Capri. The famoso Champagne Bar at sunset becomes pure magia as el cielo turns rose gold and the village below begins to twinkle with lights. This is romance, pure and simple.

Las Habitaciones

Each room at Le Sirenuse is unique, reflecting the property's origins as a private home rather than a purpose-built hotel. The result is spaces with genuine character—antique furniture, hand-painted tiles, and those espectacular terraces overlooking the Mediterranean. The most coveted rooms face el mar, where your private terrace becomes an outdoor living room with views that will stop your corazón. Imagine breakfast here: fresh pastries, perfectly foamy cappuccino, orange juice from local citrus, all consumed while watching la mañana light play across el agua. The beds are dressed in the finest Italian linens, bathrooms feature local ceramics and Eau d'Italie products created exclusively for the hotel. Many rooms feature original architectural details—vaulted ceilings, vintage floor tiles, fireplaces from another era. The suites are extraordinario, some spanning multiple levels with private rooftop terraces that offer 360-degree views of Positano's vertical village and the endless sea beyond.

El Spa

The Aveda spa at Le Sirenuse offers a sanctuary of wellness with the most espectacular views imaginable. Treatment rooms overlook the Mediterranean, which means your massage comes with a side of infinity—azure water meeting azure sky. The spa specializes in holistic treatments that incorporate Aveda's plant-based products alongside traditional Italian wellness rituals. Signature treatments include the Lemon Ritual, paying homage to the Amalfi Coast's famoso citrus groves, and various detoxifying body wraps using local herbs and botanicals. The facial treatments are equally impressive, addressing todo from sun damage to anti-aging with products specifically chosen for the Mediterranean climate. There's also a small but beautifully equipped fitness room for those who want to earn their evening pasta, and the hotel's boat can take you for a swim in hidden coves where el mar itself becomes your spa.

La Gastronomía

Dining at Le Sirenuse is where the hotel's romance reaches its crescendo. La Sponda, the Michelin-starred restaurant, is lit by over 400 candles each evening—not for effect, but because this is how the familia always dined in their summer home. The soft, flickering light transforms dinner into something utterly magical, and the cuisine more than matches el ambiente. Contemporary Campanian cuisine celebrates local ingredients: fresh-caught seafood, vegetables from the terraced gardens of the coast, buffalo mozzarella from nearby Paestum, and lemons in every form imaginable. The wine list is extraordinary, spanning lo mejor of Italian viticulture with particular attention to Campanian wines. For lighter fare, the terrace restaurant offers casual lunches with those same espectacular views—perfect for a long, leisurely meal stretched across the afternoon hours. And the Champagne Bar is exactly what it sounds like: an elegante space dedicated to bubbles, cocktails, and watching el sol set over the Mediterranean.
